Shyness
What does this mean to you? Being a loner, not daring to talk to strangers, or just not talking at all? It ruins a lot of opportunities for people. It gives others the impression of being aloof, rude or even
d e t a c h e d.
Yes, we shy people know the consequences of not speaking up, but we just don't dare to. If you give us more time, we may warm up to you- or not. But give it a try. Inside, we might be dying to befriend you, but we don't know if we'll mess up.
Some people are just introverted though. Maybe they don't like mixing around in crowds and prefer to be alone, but don't keep poking questions at them, trying to break down their "fence".
Shyness is kinda like a cage that locks me up and can be overwhelming in certain situations. I'm crazy with my friends, but I won't really talk to strangers/acquaintances unless absolutely neccessary, for the above reasons. Lately I found out that I had only a small group of friends to talk to, if not I would be stoning in a corner. You can call me a coward now...
I guess I'll have to add one more thing to my list nao
GOALS FOR 2012
-Get good grades (5/6s and above, hopefully 7s.)
-Make my room tidy enough to walk in
-Try not to be scared of soccer balls
-TALK!
